Projects done in 2010 with Families for a Better Community
Here are some pictures and descriptions of various projects done this past year!
Beach Clean up
Twice this year (in June and August) our group came together and cleaned up a good part of Clearwater beach, its dunes and a nearby park.
Adopt a park
Families for a Better Community adopted Woodgate Park in Clearwater.
We even received our own sign at that location as a token of the city's appreciation.
Look out for it if you visit the park or pass by.
At the park we did some great mulching, raking, leveling rocks and more.
Joshua House in Lutz
For the 3rd year in a row we visited the Joshua House and held an Easter Egg hunt for all the children there.
Over 1000 eggs were filled with candy and stickers. In addition, some had a golden coin which entitled the bearer to a special Easter basket filled with goodies.
The Humane Society of Pinellas
We made our own cat toys - out of socks, catnip, cotton, and needle and thread.
Afterwards we toured the animal shelter and got to give our cat toys to the cats there. They loved it and so did we.
